about
West-London based indie/alt-soul, guitarist and producer Sonia Bernardo presents brand new single “All You Leave is Love”.
Co-written with Skinny Pelembe and produced by Dave Maclean (Django Django), the lead single taken from Bernardo’s forthcoming EP Wasn’t There, Someone Told Me, is the young Londoner’s beautifully haunting moment of self-reckoning and perseverance. As Bernardo explains, “it’s all about keepin’ it moving in hard times”.
Born to Portuguese parents Bernardo started writing songs at the age of ten with the full intention of becoming a Fado great. But when the Indie wave hit the UK, the curious teenager followed the sound back to London where she began forming musical relationships and her song writing skill and powerful voice started getting her noticed.
With distorted synths, looped percussion samples and gorgeously airy vocal harmonies, “All You Leave is Love” highlights Berrnardo’s versatility as a songwriter and producer, following 2019’s Panic Prayers EP.
“All You Leave is Love” releases with a music video, shot and directed by Sonia Bernardo on the 13th November 2020, via Brazil based indie label Seloki Records.
